Diversity Plan

In order to appreciate the point of view of the widest range, we need look no further than our Veteran families. As diverse as America, this example is the goal and ideal of our diversity plan.

Diversity is the uniqueness each of us brings to fulfilling these values and achieving these goals.  Diversity flows from many factors, including differences such as race, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, nationality, cultural heritage, personal background, life and career experience, personality, position in the organization, and many others.

Non Discrimination Policy

Once a Soldier, Inc. does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Once a Soldier, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We will not discriminate and will take affirmative action measures to ensure against discrimination in employment, recruitment, advertisements for employment, compensation, termination, upgrading, promotions, and other conditions of employment against any employee or job applicant on the bases of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, veteran’s status, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

Strategic Plank

As we are a national nonprofit, pulling in thought leaders from around the country of all creeds and colors will only strengthen our cause and push us closer to a mission completed.

Tactical Plank

As opportunities arise to add Board members, volunteers, influencers and staff, our diversity policy includes a guideline to never hire the same person back to back.
